Gedrin Joely Morel, professionally known as Joelii, was born on June 19, 1991, in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He moved to the United States in 1997 at the age of five, quickly adapting to his new environment. Raised by Dominican-born parents Arelis Morel and Porfirio A. Morel, Joelii grew up in a loving, supportive household where humility and family values were deeply instilled.

From an early age, music played a central role in Joelii’s life. Influenced by the rich rhythms of Dominican culture and legendary artists such as Juan Luis Guerra, Aventura, Wisin y Yandel, Daddy Yankee, Calle 13, and Arcangel, he developed a deep passion for sound and storytelling. His creative journey began with poetry, which evolved into songwriting and vocal performance. Along the way, he also explored various instruments, shaping a unique musical style rooted in rhythm, emotion, and versatility.

Now an emerging talent in Latin music, Joelii is carving out his place as a dynamic and multifaceted artist. Under the mentorship of industry figures like Chris “Taste” Medina, Jevoy Cruickshank (SSP), Jose Mangual III, and David Hanley (Canta Canta), he is steadily building a foundation for long-term success.
