Lana Lubany

Lana Lubany is a Palestinian-American alt-pop artist whose bilingual, genre-blending music has earned her critical acclaim and a devoted fanbase worldwide.

Born in November 1996 in Yafa, Palestine, and later raised between Nazareth and the UK, Lana grew up surrounded by music. She learned piano at an early age and performed in a peace choir, eventually singing in front of dignitaries like President Obama and Pope Benedict XVI. Her early musical experiments included YouTube covers and self-written songs, leading to the release of her first single, One of a Kind, in 2017 and her debut EP Still Love U Call Me in 2018.

Her true breakthrough came with the 2022 single THE SNAKE, a haunting Arabic-English track she recorded with her mother that went viral on TikTok and has since garnered millions of streams. The song marked a pivotal shift in Lana’s identity as an artist, inspiring her to embrace her Palestinian roots and write music in both English and Arabic. This fusion of Western alt-pop with Middle Eastern sounds—like the oud, qanun, and Andalusian rhythms—has become her signature, setting her apart in the global pop landscape.

Lana's 2023 EP The Holy Land and its 2024 follow-up YAFA further explore themes of identity, home, and self-discovery. Through these releases, she blends vulnerability with pride, often incorporating stories from her family and culture, including voice recordings from her grandmother. Critics from NME, The Guardian, and The New Arab have praised her unique sound and bold storytelling, while fans continue to connect with her raw lyrics and genre-defying production. Based in London and active on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, Lana Lubany is fast emerging as a powerful voice for a new generation of artists who refuse to be boxed in—culturally or musically.
