In 2018, they introduced SAGA-I, a concept EP centered on a fictional planet. The project became a full multisensory installation, with each track paired with a physical relic that allowed listeners to taste, smell, see and feel the world behind the music. The experience debuted at a sold-out warehouse show in Brooklyn. In 2019, they continued the story with SAGA-II, released on ODESZA’s label Foreign Family. It was accompanied by an audio-visual short film that explored another planet within their expanding universe.
In recent years, MEMBA has performed at major festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Ultra, Holy Ship! and Glastonbury. They have toured in support of ODESZA, Jai Wolf, Hermitude and CloZee, which helped pave the way for their own headline run. Their global breakthrough “For Aisha,” a tribute to Ishaan’s sister, brought even more attention to their sound. The track was written for the Bollywood film The Sky is Pink, which premiered at TIFF and is currently available on Netflix.
